Jacaranda's in Culver City, Cali.
LAIRD
It was May - last year – in the evening.

I should’ve paid closer attention to the weather. The jacaranda’s are typically in full bloom that time of year, permeating the air with...well, with the fragrance of jacaranda. But not that day. That day there was an unfamiliar odor in the air – an unpleasant one at that. I’m certain it was an omen of things to come.
