Passion = Truth? How Jeffrey James Francis Ircink Sees The World? I love when people are passionate about something. That surging of emotion is the one honest measure of what truth is. It's a truthful display of how a person really feels about something or someone at that particular moment. That passion IS truth.

"Dit Spruiten staande aan je." Welcome, InBev. (Also, see if you can find the Swedish Bikini Team hidden in this post.)

In case you were wondering how to say, "This Bud's for you", in Dutch, which is one of two languages spoken in Belgium (French being the other), the headquarters of InBev, the new owner of Anheuser Busch. Or try, "Deze 'Bud' is voor jou" if that's easier for you.

After a month of resistance, Budweiser - dubbed the King of Beers - is joining Stella Artois and Beck's at the world's largest beer company, created through InBev's $52 billion (£26bn) takeover of Anheuser-Busch.

Anheuser-Busch InBev will get two seats on the group's 14-member board, with Anheuser chief executive August Busch IV taking one of the seats while the other will go to a current or former director of Anheuser's board. InBev said today it would keep the North American headquarters of the company in St Louis and pledged not to close any of Anheuser's 12 breweries. The Anheuser's theme parks - that may be another story.

First the Chrysler Building in NYC gets sold to some Saudi investors last week and now the King of Beers - gone the way of foreign owners. I wonder how much I could get if I sold my body to the Swedish Bikini Team? "Jef ej halta!" Whoo!

The Journey IS the Destination #5: Beer Garden at Solstice

Saturday, June 21. Definition of "clusterfuck". Solstice beer garden. Look for yourself.

It was the same way last year. You've got an entire park at your disposal and you block off a gonad-sized section for your beer tent. Granted, there are a number of booths and a stage area in the park but believe me, there's PLENTY of room to expand the beer tent area so you're not elbow-to-elbow with thirsty, drunken, sweaty people (unless they're thirsty, drunken, sweaty women). The lines for beer are ridiculous - and if you grabbed two beers at a time the other one was lukewarm by the time you got to it because it was hotter than shit out.

I'm sure Solstice officials, the City of Santa Barbara and the police department function under the assumption that a smaller beer tent area means a smaller beer drinking crowd and, therefore, minimum crowd control when it comes to out-of-hand Solstice revelers. That's fine - if you then limited the number of people you allowed into the tent area like you would a nightclub.

That's it. I've vented. Get it right, SB.
