I dislike Jamie Foxx.

Jamie Foxx hosted SNL this past weekend. I've always disliked Jamie Foxx. His monologue had a "how black is that?" theme. I've always disliked Jamie Foxx. He promoted his movie, "Django". I've always disliked Jamie Foxx. This is what he said about the film:

“I got a new movie coming out, Django, check it out…Django Unchained, I play a slave. How black is that? In the movie, I have to wear chains. How whack is that? But don’t be worried about it, because I get out [of] the chains, I save my wife, and I kill all the white people in the movie. How great is that? And how black is that?

I've always disliked Jamie Foxx.

If I were promoting a play I had written and said, "All the black people in the play - they all get murdered by a white guy. How white is that?", do you think I'd get the laughs Jamie Foxx got? Huh. Can he say that...because he's black? Is he being ironic? Is he helping to perpetuate black stereotypes? Shouldn't he do more to extinguish those black stereotypes, considering his notoriety? Am I missing something here? Am I overreacting. Huh. How fucked up is Jamie Foxx?

I've always disliked Jamie Foxx. That's MY running theme. I don't think he's funny. I won't see this film. Now I dislike him even more. Watch the clip here.

Hey Artie? It's now 101.

Comedian Artie Lange said the other night on Joe Buck Live (HBO) that there are 100 sites on the Internet betting on when he'll die. Make that 101.

Lange's behavior on Joe Buck Live was inexcusable...unless you're a fat, disgusting, pig like Lange. I mean, honestly...this asshole has not one attractive character trait. Lange talked of being homophobic (don't worry, a gay man will not hit on you, Artie) and he made gay jokes about Joe Buck (like what woman in her right mind would date this pig?).

Think I'm overreacting? He got banned from ever doing HBO again - EVER. Certainly HBO knew what it was in for when agreeing to have Lange on the show so HBO isn't without fault. Did you watch it? I watched it. I'm no prude and I have a sense of humor but his schtick (or shit) had no place on the show - it didn't fit. Had nothing to do with anything. If he's doing stand-up somewhere and the moment is all about him, fine. But he's a guest on a show. He didn't give a shit about anything or anyone - just his own fat, pig self agenda. And Paul Rudd is just as much of a dick because he clapped along with the audience at Lange's disgusting homophobic jokes. Nice one, Paul. You could've just not clapped and said something like, "whoaaaa, now we've crossed the line, buddy." Will the real Paul Rudd kindly step forward? I'm sure all your gay friends in the entertainment field are proud of you.

Artie, there's a reason you're playing 3rd fiddle to Howard Stern and his sidekick, Robin. You're act is HACK. Anyone who has an interest in comedy could do that. Do the world a favor - go out on bender, throw in a little heroin and just die, OK? You'll make 101 websites/blogs very happy.

Origami No. 17. "Two Men"...a song.

I wrote this song for inclusion in my latest full-length play. The first verse includes the exact lyrics I created and sang as a kid - then I just expanded the song from that point. It has nothing to do with the dark comedy I'm writing - but it does provide some levity between the protagonist and the individual he's butting heads with. I suppose it's sort of hard to appreciate it with the melody I have in my head, but...put your own tune to it and see how you like it.

I will say that it's supposed to be in the vein of the songs featured in the hit movie, "Juno".
