McCoy was 9/10 for 135 yards and a TD so Brett's QB'ing tips didn't hurt Colt. Read the story here. It's no tell-all certainly, but it's encouraging. Even with Brett retired and an ex-Packer for three seasons, the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel sports staff still finds it necessary to drag Favre through the mud. It's not like Green Bay Packer training camp isn't in full session or that the Milwaukee Brewers are in first place in their division. Why do these assholes keep trying to be funny?

SI's Peter King: "Shut yer piehole!"

I'm tired of this douche bag. Leave it up to one of the biggest mouths in sports to open up a can o' worms regarding Brett Favre. King recently wrote HE THINKS Favre MAY BE SLIGHTLY tempted to coming out of retirement.

I think, from what I'm hearing (not from the horse's mouth, but from someone who would know), Brett Favre is being slightly tempted about playing football again. When I say slightly, I mean slightly. I don't think any team is going to come after him now, and I don't think he's going to pursue anything. But I do think if a starter gets hurt or stinks, and the coach has no faith in the backup, Favre is going to get a call. Depending on the team, he might consider returning.

"Thinks". "Slightly". Not from "the horse's mouth". Wow. Now that's some good reporting. Sounds like some of the stories that FoxSports.com leads with every day. You know, the MIT writer's club consisting of Glazer, Marvez, Kriegel, Schein and Hench. All superior douches in their own right. Now this is what King wrote back on July 28, 2009:

I give up...So now I've been wrong three times. I thought he was retired last year and he played for the Jets. I thought he was retired this year, and I said he'll come back to play for the Vikings unless his arm is a problem. His arm wasn't. And he still isn't going to play. That's why I give up. Don't ask me anymore what I think about Favre, whether I think he's going to play or whether I think he's going to mow the grass for the rest of his life. I don't know because I honestly don't think he knows.

Did anyone ask him his opinion? And even if they did, that doesn't mean he's gotta write about it. I thought you gave up, King? This is why I hate the media. This is why, more times than not, I don't blame Favre for half the shit that gets reported because the media blows shit out of proportion and writes non-stories. Now Favre will get shit over all this. Please, please, please, Peter King....quit typing.

Glenn Beck..."now you've done it!"

Some things Glenn Beck says I agree with. Some I don't. It's like a seminar - if you take one good thing away from it at the end of the day, great.
But Beck's recent comment, regarding the shootings at the Norway kids' camp, comparing that camp to Hitler's youth camps? That's about as asinine and ignorant as a comment I've ever heard.

...sounds a little like the Hitler Youth or whatever. Who does a camp for kids that's all about politics? Disturbing.

I'll tell you who puts on a "political camp" for kids, Beck, you dumb fuck - the American Legion Boys/Girls State program. Every state (except Hawaii, I wonder why?) has one and it's been going strong since 1935. I've been affiliated with the Badger Boys State program in Wisconsin since 1981 and I've never been prouder of what it stands for and what it impresses on boys (and girls).

That's me - top row, far left - on the Ripon College campus back in the, ohhh...mid-80's...at the Badger Boys State program while I was a counselor. Now if by Beck's comment, he means to extrapolate and say that I was akin to a Hitler youth counselor, than here's my standing invite for Mr. Beck to come to Glen Mar (my home) in Greendale, WI so I can kick his ass. 

Beck has defended his comment, so....but hold your horses, liberal-folk...this doesn't mean I'm against everything Beck says.

You'll remember Idiot 1 and Idiot 2 for crashing The White House party back in November 2009. Now Michaele's been dumped from the next season of Celebrity Rehab because it was found by professionals in the field that Michaele has no addictions to treat. Surprise.

Aside from crashing The White House party and lying about being a Washington Redskin cheerleader, faking an addiction for your own "celebrity" is cause enough for me to say whatever I want about Salahi. And her letch of a husband is contemplating legal action (unless I'm mistaken, Mr. Salahi, MS is not an addiction). Surprise.

It's a shame that "bad things can't happen to bad people".

Jim Rome has become passé.

I'm ambivalent toward sports broadcaster, Jim Rome. No. I'm tired of Jim Rome. I appreciate it when he talks favorably about Brett Favre, but the long and short of it is I wouldn't miss him if he disappeared off television and off the radio airwaves.

I don't have a problem with Rome's television show because he only has a half-hour and he's forced to be succinct. My beef is with Rome's radio show because he repeats the same phrases over and over and over again and belabors every point he makes ad nauseum. Seriously. Every point he makes he just doesn't make once - he makes it 3, 4 or 5 times.

If you don't believe me, listen to a segment of Rome's radio show on "Softball Guy". Blah, blah, blah. Make your fucking point and shut the fuck up. Also, check out Frank Caliendo's impersonation of Rome on Fox NFL.

Epitome of stupidity = WI Governor Doyle and WI legislature.

Back in March 2009, I blogged about Wisconsin raising cigarette taxes and its efforts to ban smoking within indoor facilities. Since then, the Wisconsin legislature has passed the smoking ban, which will take effect on July 5 of this year.

But will it? According to the April 29 edition of The Shepherd Express, Milwaukee's alternative newspaper, there might be a slight loophole - actually two loopholes. One loophole was fixed last week but one apparently still remains.

After the correction (according to the bill), The Shepherd Express states:

...if there are two or more walls with windows that cover more than one quarter of the wall's surface, and those windows are open, then smokers are free to light up.
Thanks, Wisconsin legislature. I still think the bill is bullshit. I don't understand how the government can tell the owner of any establishment how to run his or her business. If non-smokers don't like the smoke, go somewhere else. There are probably plenty of non-smoking business owners who have smoke-free establishments. If employees are bothered by the smoke, work someplace else. Can I come into your home and tell you what to do?

Fox News gets ripped by the liberal media on a daily basis for being one-sided and distorting the news in order to make the Obama administration and the right look like a bunch of douche bags. And since Fox News describes itself as being "fair and balanced", I can see this as being a valid issue by the left. But is the left any different?

I've seen Bill O'Reilly on numerous occasions get into debates with other Fox News correspondents where they've disagreed. I've heard Glenn Beck admit things on his show in support of the left. But how "fair and balanced" is the liberal media - really?

Advertising exec Donny Deutsch was pulled from MSNBC last Wednesday during a week long guest hosting stint after an "unflattering" mention of MSNBC's No. 1 anchor, Keith Olbermann, the day before. It was during Deutsch's, “America the Angry", show where he analyzed the role the media plays in adding to the public’s anger and showed clips of various media figures from both the right and left getting into tirades on the air, including Keith Olbermann. Some say Olbermann got pissed which led to Deutsch being pulled from the network. Other's say Olbermann's reaction had nothing to do with Deutsch's removal.

The one thing that is not in question is that Deutsch was pulled for ripping on MSNBC "talking heads" - Olbermann. “The segment did not go unnoticed and we’re dealing with it internally,” said Jeremy Gaines, an MSNBC spokesman. And there goes Deutsch. Now how fair and balanced is that, MSNBC?

Pew says goverment trust stinks.

Nearly 80 percent of Americans say they can't and they have little faith that the massive federal bureaucracy can solve the nation's ills, according to a survey from the Pew Research Center that shows public confidence in the federal government at one of the lowest points in a half-century.

I talked about the lack of trust in our government back in early February when I set forth my "manifesto" of sorts on how Americans can become better represented in Washington - The People's Republic Ombudsman Party (PRO).

The president's top strategist, David Axelrod, says that it's not all Obama's fault. Axelrod accuses the Republicans of trying to de-legitimize government. During an NPR broadcast on the Pew survey, Axlerod stated:

"In Chicago, there was an old tradition of throwing a brick through your own campaign office window, and then calling a press conference to say that you've been attacked...I think it's a little bit the same with the Republicans. They meet, they decide we're not going to give the president any bipartisan support, and then they call a press conference to accuse him of not governing in a bipartisan way. And that, I think, grates on people."

Like the Democrats haven't done this in the past? What about "change" and "not politics as usual"...two of Obama's campaign promises? Go ahead, Axelrod - pass the buck, you douch bag. No, it's not all Obama's fault, but it is inherent in politics. And the Obama administration has done nothing to alleviate the public's opinion in government as Obama promised he would do during his presidential campaign.

But hey - it's better than four more years of a Republican administration, right? And people wonder why members of The Tea Party are angry.

Chris Matthews needs to shut the fuck up.

Seriously. No one can get a word in edgewise because he constantly interrupts his guests.

I try and watch both liberal and conservative media because I favor issues on both sides. But whenever I turn on MSNBC and Chris Matthews' Hardball is airing, I switch it. Now, I rarely listen to Rush's radio show but he at least lets his callers talk. Hannity and O'Reilly (both of FoxNews) certainly do their share of interrupting, but NO ONE's as bad as Matthews.

The right bitches about the left. The left bitches about the right. I'm right. You're wrong. Vicious circle. So many issues to tackle and too many talking heads on both sides for my taste.

Football season's over. QB Brett Favre hasn't made a decision on whether he'll return to the Minnesota Vikings. But if you read the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel you'll notice there's a feature called, UP/DOWN in the sports section that won't let Brett Favre go.

Green Bay Packer Head Monkey Coach Mike McCarthy and the other two monkeys in management (Murphy, Thompson) vehemently stated, "The train has left the building" - referring to Favre's departure from the team. So - if the Packers have moved on, why can't they MJS?

Mort Zuckerman on President Obama: "He's done everything wrong."

In a post on The Daily Beast, Mortimer Zuckerman, Editor-in-Chief of the U S News and World Report and a supporter of Barack Obama during his run for the Presidency, rips President Obama a new one. I mean - rips. Here are a few excerpt's:

"I’m very disappointed. We endorsed him. I voted for him. I supported him publicly and privately."

"This health-care plan is going to be a fiscal disaster for the country. Most of the country wanted to deal with costs, not expansion of coverage. This is going to raise costs dramatically. "

"In the campaign, he said he would change politics as usual. He did change them. It’s now worse than it was. I’ve now seen the kind of buying off of politicians that I’ve never seen before. It’s politically corrupt and it’s starting at the top. It’s revolting."

"He should have jammed a stimulus plan into Congress and said, 'This is it. No changes. Don’t give me that bullshit. We have a national emergency.' Instead they turned it over to Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi who can run circles around him."

Fuck Buzz.

I don't care if this jerk off has a Pulitzer. He can shove his Pulitzer up his ass.

So Buzz Bissinger writes this scathing diatribe on what he thinks of Minnesota Viking QB Brett Favre in The New Republic. Good for "Fuzz" (like the lint you pick out of your belly button). He's entitled to his opinion. What he is NOT entitled to is second-guessing Favre's motivations - or anyone else's for that matter.

Here's Fuzz's statement I take the most offense at:

"He (Favre) knows what sportswriters crave, not just the junk food of the noble warrior but the soul-aching confessional, which largely accounts for why he admitted to being a Vicodin addict in 1996. He knew that, when he decided to play a football game the night after his father died in 2003, it would not be perceived for the act of self-absorption it was, but as an act of courage after he carefully spun it as that’s what pappy would have wanted."

Really? First off, that's mocking Favre and his father. Fuck you...you self-righteous, pompous queef. So Fuzz KNOWS Brett didn't opt to play in that Oakland game - a game where the usually merciless Oakland fans cheered for Favre - because Brett's a consumate competitor, never missed a game and that it's what Favre's "pappy" would've wanted. Or that perhaps it was the only way Brett could cope with his father's death, by playing the game his father coached him in since Brett's childhood? No. Buzz is convinced that Brett played the game simply because Brett's self-absorbed. And the world is supposed to believe what Fuzz says because he has a Pulitzer. But Fuzz is not self-absorbed.

Fuzz...if you ever call my father a "pappy", I will find you and kick you in your balls - then in your Neanderthal forehead. I swear to God.

My other issue is Fuzz's statement:

"Against the Saints, he (Favre) could have scrambled for at least several yards to set up a likely winning field goal and a trip to the Super Bowl."

"Likely"? Fuzz whips out his magic ball and KNOWS that Vikings' kicker Ryan Longwell was guaranteed to make a 50+ yard FG, particularly in a season where competent kickers were missing 35 yarders every other Sunday. I love people who know everything. God, I'm such a stupid fucker. Had I known the Vikes were going to lose to the Saints in OT, I might've saved myself the grief and skipped watching the entire season.

Fuzz has a Pulitzer. No one else can write. He's not self-absorbed. He hates blogs and probably most bloggers. Here he is on Bob Costas' show on HBO, ripping into the publisher of Deadspin. And get this - he berates Will Leitch of Deadspin for not caring about facts, yet Fuzz is the one who uses no facts - but assumes - Longwell would've "likely" made a 50+ yard FG for the Vikes to win the NFC Championship Game.

Lastly, Fuzz paints (as most Favre-haters do) Favre as the Hall of Fame QB who chokes in the playoffs. Philadelphia in OT (he doesn't mention that the Packer defense allowed the infamous "4th & 26" play that sent the game to go to OT), Giants in 2007 (no mention of the lack of Packer OL blocking or lack of running game...something like 35 yards gained) and Fuzz fails to mention that in the NFC Championship this year, the Vikes fumbled the ball 6 times - 3 lost and 2 of those were inside the New Orleans' 20-yard line.

All Brett's fault? Certainly not. Big INTs in big games? Sure. Course, everyone knows Favre purposefully blows big games which is the reason he only has one Super Bowl ring. Then there's the ever-present Packer, Favre-haters mantra concerning Favre, "there's no I in TEAM, Brett". Unless, of course, Brett throws an INT in the playoffs. Then it's all Brett's fault.
