Passion = Truth? How Jeffrey James Francis Ircink Sees The World? I love when people are passionate about something. That surging of emotion is the one honest measure of what truth is. It's a truthful display of how a person really feels about something or someone at that particular moment. That passion IS truth.

Tuesday's "F@!#% You!" Triumvirate. No. 2 = USC Trojans football.

No. 2 goes to Coach Pete Carroll and his USC Trojans.

USC coach Pete Carroll says the NCAA can have two of his timeouts from this Saturday's crosstown rivalry game with UCLA. He just wants his players to wear their home colors. Carroll said on Monday that the Trojans would wear their cardinal red home jerseys on Saturday at the Rose Bowl. That violates an NCAA rule that requires visiting teams to wear white, and the infraction will cost him two timeouts, one per half.

OK. You're playing away, Carroll. You wear your away jerseys. I realize it's not that big of a deal, particularly since the UCLA staff doesn't mind. But it's the principle. It's the fact that USC thinks it can do whatever it wants to do even though it's in violation of NCAA rules. It's that smugness. It's that arrogance.

I hope the Trojans need those two timeouts and lose the game because of it. F@!#% You!, USC Trojans and Coach Peter Carroll!

UCLA has agreed to take a time out immediately after USC loses their timeout each half.

Apparently, they want to wear their home jerseys because it is a tribute to when UCLA and USC shared the coliseum as their home stadium.

I think its ok, especially if UCLA agrees with the principle of the move...
