Passion = Truth? How Jeffrey James Francis Ircink Sees The World? I love when people are passionate about something. That surging of emotion is the one honest measure of what truth is. It's a truthful display of how a person really feels about something or someone at that particular moment. That passion IS truth.

dia dhuit (dee a ghwit). Twenty Major.

One of Dublin's most notorious bloggers. Check it out - and may God be with you.

I come from Dublin, Ireland. This is my blog. I am a kind, considerate, gentle person who always sees the good in the world.

I also have four arms, a hundred brothers and I own Tallaght. Some people ask “Is Twenty Major’s real name really Twenty Major?”. To them I say “Twenty Major’s real name is Horace Understudy. Or Twenty Major’s real name is Arnold Micstand.”

I drink in Ron’s bar. He has the best Guinness in Dublin. He is also a big cunt so I wouldn’t bother dropping in. I drink with my mates Jimmy the Bollix, Stinking Pete, Dirty Dave, Lucky Luciano and sometimes Splodge who has a big fuck off birthmark on the side of his face, hence the name.

I have a dog called Bastardface, he is enormous and eats knackers. I also have a cat that I rescued from the banks of the canal near Dolphin’s Barn. He is called Throatripper and he kills stuff.
If you want, you can see Twenty Major take a poop all over the world.

The Beast's Ian Murphy hates American troops.

This is the blogger who pranked Governor Walker. Touche. But before you place Ian Murphy on your "how cool is he?" list, keep in mind - he hates our American soldiers.

excerpt from "Fuck the Troops" -

So, 4000 rubes are dead. Cry me the Tigris. Another 30,000 have been seriously wounded. Boo fucking hoo. They got what they asked for—and cool robotic limbs, too.

Likely, just reading the above paragraph made you uncomfortable. But why?

The benevolence of America’s “troops” is sacrosanct. Questioning their rectitude simply isn’t done. It’s the forbidden zone. We may rail against this tragic war, but our soldiers are lauded by all as saints. Why? They volunteered to partake in this savage idiocy, and for this they deserve our utmost respect? I think not.

The nearly two-thirds of us who know this war is bullshit need to stop sucking off the troops. They get enough action raping female soldiers and sodomizing Iraqi detainees...

Here's the full post. While I don't agree with everything our country does in the name of democracy and I'm fully aware there are always a few bad apples in the bunch, I do not lend credence to sweeping generalizations when it concerns our American troops. Murphy obviously doesn't care about anyone or anything other than the shock value of his writing.

Lieutenant General (Ret.) Hal Moore (from "We Were Soldiers" fame) said to Dan Rather, "Hate war, but love the American soldier".

And hate people like Ian Murphy instead.

"Calling Dr. Zen. Calling Dr. Zen."

My friend, New Jersey native Marisa Petroro, just started writing a blog - Dr. Zen.

Aside from being an actress in Los Angeles and former briefcase model #18 on "Deal or No Deal", Marisa's a cancer survivor and National Spokesperson for the Sarcoma Foundation of America.

So, she's writing a blog about surviving cancer, surviving Hollywood and exploring natural alternative ways to heal the mind, body and spirit. She's good people. Check it out.

Oh...she was also in a country western vid with Ricky Schroeder - on of the few CW songs I like. It won Music Video Of The Year at the 2004 CMA's.

Types of Bitches.

Jeff Simmermon at the blog, And I Am Not Lying, has a thing or two (or 50+) to say about the plethora of "bitches" in the universe. I can relate. I've had my share of a couple in the last two days.

"Hell-A Woman". From Season 1 of "Californication".

One of my favorite scenes from one of the first episodes. Hank is a novelist from New York who's bitter about how Hollywood "treated" the movie based on his best-selling novel. He has writer's block and, against his better judgement, takes a blogging job at the behest of his ex, who's fiance owns the company Hank would be blogging for. Here are some of Hank's thoughts as he writes his first blog post....very poignant. (Adult language, kiddies)

Season 3 starts at the end of the month. Well-written comedy. One of the best on television.

The Old Mill, Part Deux.

This photo of an old mill in Co. Kilkenny, Ireland was originally a part of my St. Patrick's Day posts. I contribute to the blog, Ditalini Press, and each month someone's responsible for suggesting a topic for the other bloggers to write about. I had April - my topic was to write a story derived from this photo.

My contribution is noted here.

Posting to Blogger by email...two observations.

Alright, so my message posted (see below).

"I'm just trying to see if I can post by email. Did it work?"
- Jeff

But I see two issues:

1) Whatever email address you post from, it posts all the crap you have below your signature. And I have a lot of crap below my signature (and above it).

2) It posted to my blog as a DRAFT, which means I still had to go into the blog and POST it. Soooo...what steps does posting by email eliminate if you have to go into your blog to post it? Did I do something wrong?

Blogger? Anyone?

My revamped original play blog: Bumbershoot.

I thought I'd try a new blog site for my original plays. I'd been using Blogger but wanted a change - didn't like the way it looked. Blah. So I went to Wordpress. Bumbershoot - The Plays of Jeffrey James Ircink. Looks a tad more professional. And cleaner. Take a gander if you're interested. You get a synopsis of each play and you can click on "read the rest of this entry" to read a 20-page dialogue sample of the play.

One thing about Wordpress for all you bloggers out there, setting up links is a breeze compared to Blogger. One-click and you're done. Oh - if you don't check out the blog, the picture I used for the blog banner is an original called, "Mossy rocks in a creek". I was in a hurry to name it. Didn't think it was a big deal at the time but I get a lot of remarks that the photograph looks like a painting. Maybe I did think it was "something" or I wouldn't have taken it. Who knows - I was drinking at the time (it was during our annual walleye fishing trip up at the Rainbow Flowage in Lake Tomahawk, WI).

And "bumbershoot" is a slang British term for "umbrella".

"The Fern Pool".

My father, brother, Uncle Fran and I hunt and fish with Bruce and Dave Hranicka. Dave grew up with my Uncle Fran and has known Jas and I since we were kids. The "Hern's" are family. Our annual walleye fishing trip on the Rainbow Flowage takes place on Dave's property in Lake Tomahawk, WI. Good times, friends. Good times.

Anyway, Bruce and Jason used to shoot trap quite often in Wisconsin with a guy from Madison named Kurt Helker, who, unbenounced to me, wrote a fishing column for the magazine, Wisconsin Outdoor Journal. Bruce forwarded me Kurt's new blog, Errant Casts and Other Inkblots - and a story Kurt wrote a couple years ago called, The Fern Pool, originally published in Outdoor World Magazine (now defunct.)

It's one of the best short pieces I've read in a while. Riveting. You should read it. And you don't have to have an appreciation for fishing or the outdoors to appreciate this story.

Danny Gokey. Early Idol favorite to win.

I don't watch American Idol anymore. Haven't for a quite a few years. Love Simon. Randy's cool. Paula's a nutjob. And Ryan Seacrest is begging to be popped in the face. But if I were to put money on this year's winner, I'd go with Danny Gokey. Who just so happens to be from my home state of Wisconsin. I haven't seen the other contestants; this is the only song I've seen Danny sing; it's very early in the competition. But my gut is 95% accurate and it's telling me HE'S your winner.

I have to say that some of this is based on the reviews posted by my friend, Tony Clements, who blogs at "tuedays". You want Idol recaps - go to Tony's blog.

In just 6 days, I made 46 cents with Chitika ads! WOW!

Seriously. And it cost me nothing. Hey, it's a start, man.

Chitika ads are targeted to specific markets. And you won't see the ad on this blog unless you're specifically searching the Web for - "mortgages," for example. I'm not really sure how it all works - I need to read more about it on their website. It was never my intention to try and earn anything when I started PASSION = TRUTH in March 2006. But - time's change. Mind's change. Economy's change. (Are there supposed to be apostrophe's there? Aren't they possessive?) What the hell. We'll see.

"A tree starts as a seed first, then changes into a mighty oak." I said that. Jeffrey James Francis Ircink.
