Passion = Truth? How Jeffrey James Francis Ircink Sees The World? I love when people are passionate about something. That surging of emotion is the one honest measure of what truth is. It's a truthful display of how a person really feels about something or someone at that particular moment. That passion IS truth.

Spent most of my life in the Village of Waterford, a small town just outside of the Milwaukee suburbs. TGIF! presents...Fleetwood Mac's "Go Your Own Way"!

Fleetwood Mac is reissuing Rumors (1977), their 11th studio album, and some of their best stuff. This is the band playing, "Go Your Own Way", in 1997 - my favorite Mac song. Here they are in 1977 playing live.

TGIF! presents..."Oscar, Oscar, Oscar...". So long, Mr. Klugman.

Jack Klugman passed away on Christmas Eve at the age of 90. "The Odd Couple" TV series was one of my favorites. So many great episodes...enjoy this scene from the classic "Password" episode. Klugman plays Oscar Madison, sitting on your left.

TGIF! presents....Band Aid's "Do They Know It's Christmas?"!

A flood of memories from when I was attending college at University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. 28 years later, the message - and cause - hasn't changed. It hasn't gotten stale or boring. Do something this holiday season for someone in need. You may not have to look very far.

TGIF! presents....Chuck Kraemer's "Ode to Christmas"!

Or Ode to Black Friday, as this is the Friday after Thanksgiving - the biggest shopping day of the year. A day reserved, quite frankly, for the insane.

TGIF! presents...President Obama's latest campaign ad!

FAIL. Oddly, the video has been been pulled by Vimeo off of every website it was embedded just a few days ago. Watch this link.

Imagine an America
Where strip mines are fun and free
Where gays can be fixed
And sick people just die
And oil fills the sea

We don’t have to pay for freeways!
Our schools are good enough
Give us endless wars
On foreign shores
And lots of Chinese stuff

We’re the children of the future
American through and through
But something happened to our country
And we’re kinda blaming you

We haven’t killed all the polar bears
But it’s not for lack of trying
Big Bird is sacked
The Earth is cracked
And the atmosphere is frying

Congress went home early
They did their best we know
You can’t cut spending
With elections pending
Unless it’s welfare dough

We’re the children of the future
American through and through
But something happened to our country
And we’re kinda blaming you

Find a park that is still open
And take a breath of poison air
They foreclosed your place
To build a weapon in space
But you can write off your au pair

It’s a little awkward to tell you
But you left us holding the bag
When we look around
The place is all dumbed down
And the long term’s kind of a drag

We’re the children of the future
American through and through
But something happened to our country
And yeah, we’re blaming you

You did your best
You failed the test
Mom and Dad
We’re blaming you!

TGIF! presents...Floo floo time!

We bowhunt for pheasant. And that's when you use a floo floo arrow. Wide fletching helps so the arrow doesn't fly a hundred yards when you miss the bird. Here, my Uncle Fran Ircink, Brother Jason and Dad practice at a styrofoam target which I'm tossing into the air. This was during a recent camping trip to the Buckhorn State Park in Necedah, Wisconsin.

TGIF! presents....Andy Williams' "Softly, As I Leave You!"

Andy Williams passed away this week at the age of 84. Inarguably, one of the prominent velvet voices of all time, Williams left a legacy of music that has brought me joy throughout my life. Here's one of my favorite songs covered by Andy, the theme from the made-for-TV hit film, "Brian's Song".
