Passion = Truth? How Jeffrey James Francis Ircink Sees The World? I love when people are passionate about something. That surging of emotion is the one honest measure of what truth is. It's a truthful display of how a person really feels about something or someone at that particular moment. That passion IS truth.

Cranberry relishit.

Thought I'd try it this year at Thanksgiving. I don't think I've tasted this since I was a kid. Hated it then and I still hate it.

I hate cranberry sauce.

Be thankful....for the Wisconsin cranberries you're eating today.

"You might think that Massachussetts is the country’s primary producer of this native bog-growing berry — after all, it was one of the foods available to the Pilgrims — but you’d be wrong. Wisconsin grows more of the tart red berries than any other state in the nation." - from MSN.

18,000 acres of these babies. I do like cranberry jelly. Brother Jason made some this year.

Cranberries, cheese & goat milk. On Wisconsin!

You mean there's more in this state besides maple syrup? A recent Milwaukee Journal Sentinel article extolled the "culinary wilderness" that is Wisconsin. Apparently our state has been omitted from some "best of" lists and someone wanted to set the record straight. As it should be. Bastards.

Cranberry, adj., "a complete and utter idiot"

#7 definition of "cranberry" from the Urban Dictionary online. That's not the "cranberry" I was thinking of when I picked this puppy up at an antique store in Santa Barbara last weekend. It's a reproduction, but a nice conversation piece from my home state.

Did you know that cranberries are a native species to Wisconsin and are the state's leading fruit crop both in terms of acreage and value? I didn't. Cranberries are produced on about 13,600 acres in 19 of Wisconsin's 72 counties (1996 statistic).

So next time you pop a cranberry in your mouth, think of me and Wisconsin. And the next time you cross paths with an idiot - just call him/her a "cranberry".
