Jets Head Butt Rams, 47-3. Jets 6-3 / Packers 4-5.
"Only one TD? Humprf! Didn't need to throw any more than that. I was saving my arm for the Patriots' game on Thursday."
The Jets' "D" scored 27 points off 4 or 5 Rams' turnovers - 1 Favre TD pass, 3 running TDs by Thomas Jones, 1 INT for a TD and 4 FG's by Jay Feely. Fun game to watch - Jets set a number of records during this textbook ass-kicking:
* That 44-point differential is the largest margin of victory in franchise history.
* Jets’ 40-0 lead at halftime tied for the third-largest halftime advantage in NFL history.
* Feely's 55 yard FG equaled the longest in Jets' history. His 4 FGs were all in the first half.
Close, hard-fought games on football Sundays are over-rated. I'd prefer blow-outs - helps me keep my breakfast and lunch down. Now, the big game is this Thursday when the Jets travel to the Patriots. Both teams are tied for 1st place in the AFC East so this short-week game is for sole possession of the lead.
RB Thomas Jones had a career high 3 TDs in the Jets' rout over St. Louis.

Brett Favre played an efficient game yesterday as the New York Jets unleashed hell on the visiting St. Louis Rams, 47-3. Favre was 14 for 19, 167 yards, 1 TD which resulted in a 118 passer rating. Favre, quite frankly, didn't need to do any more than that.
