Passion = Truth? How Jeffrey James Francis Ircink Sees The World? I love when people are passionate about something. That surging of emotion is the one honest measure of what truth is. It's a truthful display of how a person really feels about something or someone at that particular moment. That passion IS truth.

Favre faxes reinstatement papers into league; Ted Thompson continues to be a douche bag; newly bar mitzvah'd Jew chosen over Jesus.

Now the ball's in the Packers' court. They have 24 hours to release Favre or add him to the roster. They've said they don't want to release him which would give Brett the option to go to any team he wants - including an NFC North team. They don't want him to be their starting QB because "they've moved on" and "Rogers is the QB now" (and that's the extent of their explanation on staying with Rogers).

They want to trade Brett to a team that he doesn't want to play with and are asking the sun and the moon for him, yet they don't think he's good enough the be the QB for the Packers anymore - because they took him at his word that he was retiring in March and they've "moved on".

Brett even told Thompson that he'd compete for the starting job in camp and TT said that's not an option (it was before) - "they've moved on". "History" will determine whether they've made the right decision.

General Robert E. Lee said that on the 2nd day of Gettysburg when General Longstreet told him he thought it best to pull the Rebs out of action and get out of there. "It's in God's hands now". Ok, Lee.

Thompson - what a douche bag. TT is a dumb, fucking douche bag. Sorry but he is. He's fucking with one of the most storied franchises in sports - and one of the most storied players - all for spite and control. Ted Thompson is acting more and more like an OWNER who wakes up one morning and decides to move his team to Bum Fuck Egypt than a GM who's supposed to be looking out for what's in the best interests of the TEAM...which is putting the best team you can on the field and the best QB which is Favre and not Rogers...you stupid mother fucker. To borrow an analogy from my college buddy, Todd Z.:

It's like Jesus returning for the Second Coming. Everyone knows it's Jesus but they say, "you know - we've moved on without you and we kinda like this new Jew who just got bar mitzvah'd last weekend and we're gonna see what he can do - even though he's never preached to the masses or performed a miracle or done jack shit - yes, even though you ARE Jesus".

(NOTE: Todd and I are not insinuating Brett Favre is Jesus or God, regardless what people say...that we think he's a god. Just making an analogy.) Can you tell I'm pissed? I make a point to not go berserk and use profanity on my blog, but this is not a good situation. I can only hope that cooler heads will prevail and the insanity will be flushed out of Lambeau Field.

TT can only win by having Favre start for the Pack. Brett does well = good. Brett does poorly = 'well what was i supposed to do?'.

But if he lets Favre go, whether Favre excels with another team or not, TT will be "the GM that traded or released Brett Favre". Pride is a terrible thing you stupid, dumb bastard. Long after Ted Thompson is gone as GM, the reverberation of letting Favre go to another team would be felt for decades. I don't wanna hear in your autobiography 20 years from now, "we were wrong about Brett and I take full responsibility for being a dumb ass", because we're telling you NOW that you're making a mistake, you ignoramus - YOU'RE WRONG! What a selfish son-of-a-bitch.
