Passion = Truth? How Jeffrey James Francis Ircink Sees The World? I love when people are passionate about something. That surging of emotion is the one honest measure of what truth is. It's a truthful display of how a person really feels about something or someone at that particular moment. That passion IS truth.

Favre on Wisconsin's "Mount Rushmore". Duhh...what did you expect?

Who would you say are the four greatest sports figures with connections to your home state?

In an ESPN promotion, fans voting online, along with a blue ribbon panel, determined there were four figures who deserve to be part of the "Mount Rushmore of Sports" for each of the 50 states. My home state of Wisconsin's representatives' are: Vince Lombardi, Brett Favre, Hank Aaron and Al McGuire.

Favre also made the top four for the state of Mississippi, and Aaron also was claimed by voters in the states of Alabama and Georgia. Former Green Bay Packers guard Jerry Kramer made the top four in Idaho. Superior's (Wisconsin city) Bud Grant made the cut for Minnesota (former coach of the Vikings) and Hall of Fame/Green Bay Packer defensive end Reggie White made it in Tennessee.

Among those sports figures who were unable to crack the top four in any state were: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Oscar Robertson, Joe Montana, Babe Didrikson and Sandy Koufax.

Fans are to vote for the most impressive state list between Feb. 20-23, and the winner is to be announced Feb. 24 on ESPN.
