"Awfully exciting," said Mangold, who was Christmas shopping when informed of the honor by New York Jets' Eric Mangini. "I don’t know if there’ s a good set of words to put with it. It was a big surprise when I got the call. I really don't think it’s sunk in."

“I want to accept this honor on behalf of the special teams,” said Washington, who was told in person by Mangini, who gave the running back a hug after delivering the news. “All year long guys were talking about how they wanted to get me to Hawaii so hats off to those guys. We did it.”
Brett Favre made his tenth Pro Bowl Tuesday, tying Johnny Unitas for the NFL record of 10 Pro Bowl appearances for a quarterback. He and Jay Cutler of the Denver Broncos will back up Peyton Manning of the Indianapolis Colts.
The NFC? Who cares. The Packers? Who cares? (They had two make the starting team and three alternates.)
