Sad day for the NFL. Sad day for Packer fans. Sad day for Wisconsin and the Green Bay Packers. We knew this day would come and yet it is still very, very difficult. Hey, if you're not a Packer fan, you won't understand. And that's OK. But just put yourself in the shoes of the man who gave 17 years of his life - 16 to the Packers - and perhaps you can understand how difficult this must be for Brett. And you'll know how much joy he has given me personally - and why my sorrow is immeasurable.

Perhaps you'll then understand how difficult it is for me and Packer fans like me. None of us wanna see Huck Finn grow up and leave us. But that IS life.
