Passion = Truth? How Jeffrey James Francis Ircink Sees The World? I love when people are passionate about something. That surging of emotion is the one honest measure of what truth is. It's a truthful display of how a person really feels about something or someone at that particular moment. That passion IS truth.

Kent State - 38 years ago today

Kent State University. 1970. Allison Krause, Jeff Miller (seen lying on the pavement above), Sandy Scheuer and Bill Schroeder were murdered by National Guardsman. Scheuer and Schroeder weren't even taking part in the student demonstrations (against the Vietnam War). Nine others were injured and one remains paralyzed.

Above in order: Krause, Schroeder, Miller and Sheuer. 800 National Guardsman converged on campus that day. 67 bullets were fired in all. Every guardsman involved was acquitted. The event was immortalized in the Crosby, Stills and Nash song, "Ohio", which you can listen to here.
