Today marks the 15th anniversary of the passing of The Beach Boy's co-founder, Carl Wilson. You'll know Carl by his lead vocals on "God Only Knows", but to us BB fans, he was so much more. Certainly the glue that held the band together for much of its history.
In 1998, Carl recorded an album with Gerry Beckley (America) and Robert Lamm (Chicago) called, Like A Brother, which was released in 2000, two years after Carl's death. You can check the album out here - Beckley Lamm Wilson – Like A Brother. "I Wish for You" is my favorite.
One other Carl solo you might not have heard is "Heaven". Simply gorgeous.

Fleetwood Mac is reissuing Rumors (1977), their 11th studio album, and some of their best stuff. This is the band playing, "Go Your Own Way", in 1997 - my favorite Mac song. Here they are in 1977 playing live.

Jack Klugman and Charles Durning, who both passed away Christmas Eve, as well as other notables who died after this was filmed, will be featured on next year's tribute.
Jack Klugman passed away on Christmas Eve at the age of 90. "The Odd Couple" TV series was one of my favorites. So many great episodes...enjoy this scene from the classic "Password" episode. Klugman plays Oscar Madison, sitting on your left.

"The Little Drummer Boy, a Christmas festival, the Harry Simeone Chorale" (1963). I'm guessing it's the most famous version of this song. This album was first issued under another name in 1958. The song was originally titled "Carol of the Drum", written by Katherine Kennicott Davis and was published as based upon a traditional Czech carol. Harry Simeone made some small changes to the song and retitled it "The Little Drummer Boy". Classic. Check out the album here.
