Passion = Truth? How Jeffrey James Francis Ircink Sees The World? I love when people are passionate about something. That surging of emotion is the one honest measure of what truth is. It's a truthful display of how a person really feels about something or someone at that particular moment. That passion IS truth.

Vikes finally get a win over Detroit. 1-2.

Favre congratulating Adrian Peterson on his 80-yard TD
run, AP's career longest run.

I'm behind on my Minnesota Vikings' coverage, I know. My staged play reading last weekend encompassed much of my time the last few months so my head hasn't been "in the game". The Vikes' 0-2 start has been disappointing, to say the least. Favre hasn't been on the same page as his receivers (and no, I don't think it has anything to do with Favre not attending training camp). Greg Camarillo came over from Miami at the last minute and Percy Harvin missed most of training camp with migraine headache issues. And the fact that Sidney Rice waited until the season began to decide to have hip surgery has put a glitch in Favre's passing game.

Oh well...the win over the Lions was clutch and with a bye week this weekend, it'll be interesting to see how Favre & Co. make adjustments in anticipation of their visit to the New York Jets (2-1) next weekend.

Here's a link to the melee that broke out in the 3rd quarter - go to the 2:40 mark for the fight and watch Favre cheer on his teammates (with a grin) afterwards.

Percy Harvin's stretch for a Favre TD pass.
