Christmas Eve @ Teachín Ircink's.

Honestly, every get-together with my family is like this. It just so happens it's Christmas Eve and there's a scrumptious spread on the dining room table. And there's a Christmas tree. And presents & lights & snow. And my mother's wearing Santa's cap. Other than that - it's "business" as usual. So thankful. Candids & random shots.

One Wisconsin Now has Mandela laughing.

Activist Nelson Mandela passed away this week and the liberal Wisconsin group One Wisconsin Now saw this event as a means to further exploit their non-voter ID stance in Wisconsin by proposing that Governor Scott Walker and lawmakers honor Mandela best by stopping “their collective attacks on the right to vote".

But wait - Mandela helped to impose similar voter ID laws in South Africa.

Fucked up? On Wisconsin!

Happy Birthday, Denny!

Happy Birthday, Dennis Wilson! December 4, 1944 - December 28, 1983. Drummer & co-founder of The Beach Boys. He is the BB I most identify with. You are missed - and loved, Denny.

Check out this re-imagined version of Denny's "Forever". Also, check out his solo PACIFIC OCEAN BLUE (1977) here. POB has appeared on several "best-of" lists including Robert Dimery's "1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die," Mojo's "Lost Albums You Must Own" and "70 of the Greatest Albums of the 70s" lists. In 2005, it was ranked #18 in GQ's "The 100 Coolest Albums in the World Right Now!" list.
