Passion = Truth? How Jeffrey James Francis Ircink Sees The World? I love when people are passionate about something. That surging of emotion is the one honest measure of what truth is. It's a truthful display of how a person really feels about something or someone at that particular moment. That passion IS truth.

"Impudance! Homeric!" "The LOUD Man"?

Barry Fitzgerald's exclamation in The Quiet Man upon seeing John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara's bed askew on the morning after their wedding.

Two Guinness' (Guinni?) was all I could manage while watching The Quiet Man. Is it me or is it just..."stout"? My experience with Guinness (and it's not rooted in being a connoisseur) is that it tastes better in draft form or poured from a bottle into a glass. And the Guinness in Ireland is much better than what's imported in the U.S.

Trailer for "The Quiet Man". Erin go bragh!

Tonight for St. Patty's Day, I'll be at home with me Guinness, watchin' John Ford's classic, "The Quiet Man", starrin' John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara. Fine move - as good the 30th time as the 1st.

So watch this original trailer (you'll be wantin' to pause the jukebox at da top of this page first). And don't be callin' me or stoppin' by to say "hello" - unless you're a member of my family or ya bin to Ireland, right? Cause if you do, "you say three, mister, and you'll never hear the man count ten". Ha! Gotta love the Duke in this.
