"the Golgotha Crux." revisted.

This was my first full-length play. Worked on it for 4 years. A theater in Phoenix recently requested to read four of my plays for possible production: "Stan's Addiction", "Pass the Salt, Please.", "Billy Balfoor Wants An Apology" and this one.

I sent the first three plays to the theater but I told them that in good conscience I could not send "the Golgotha crux." as I hadn't looked at it since 2006. You can imagine my surprise when I opened the most recent draft and noticed one major change I had made that I had forgotten. And what a great change it was.

"crux." had its premiere stage reading at the Urban Theater Project of Iowa in May 2004. It was a finalist in the Dayton Playhouse Futurefest 2004, a semi-finalist in the Wagner College 2004 Stanley Drama Award competition in New York and it received an honorable mention in the 73rd Annual Writer’s Digest Writing Competition/2004.

My friends, Marisa Petroro and Mark Totty, performed as the leads in this play's first reading at my former guesthouse in Bel Air.
