"Hey Brett....how's about $20 million to stay retired??"

To all you clowns who ever thought Favre was playing QB for the money - think again.

At the meeting yesterday in Mississippi between Green Bay Packer President/CEO Mike "Howdy Doody" Murphy, Brett and Brett's agent, Bus Cook, Murphy apparently floated the idea of paying the quarterback as much as $20 million over 10 years to stay retired, according to the Green Bay Press Gazette and WTMJ in Milwaukee.

That option apparently wasn't embraced.

Let's think about this. Why would a team offer $20 million (or $1 for that matter) to a player to STAY RETIRED????? Does anyone see ANY logic in that? Nice try, Thompson (and Murphy). Shame on you. A payoff? You guys are sinking lower and lower the longer you drag this out. Start Favre or release him. I'll hate you forever if you DO release him, but the man wants to play ball and since you no longer think he can start for YOUR team, let him go elsewhere.
