Why the colored water...and why the purple-colored water? I'm sure there's a logical explanation. Maybe it makes the demonstrators happier as long as they're being blasted with colored, high-pressured water, thus making them more docile and easier to quell. Or maybe the AP photographer said, "I'm sorry but this isn't working for me. Could we have some teal - no, purple-ish, violet water instead of the regular water? Good. Now THAT's the India I wanna capture!"
It does make for a prettier picture.
How can you be angry when your being sprayed with colored water? At some point you have to laugh and say "WTF"..."colored water"..."that's ingenious"
