Irish mail.

I asked my father (NOT my dad above) to name a Christmas gift from his childhood that stood out in his memory. He immediately piped up, "An Irish mail". No clue what he was talking about. My dad and my Uncle Tom (one year younger than dad) each got one for Christmas in their youth. Dad said my Grandpa Ircink used to make them wooden toys as well - aircraft carriers, fire trucks. Gramps was a master carpenter (as a hobby).

In days of yore when things were made to last. What do YOU want from Santa?
