Did you know that cranberries are a native species to Wisconsin and are the state's leading fruit crop both in terms of acreage and value? I didn't. Cranberries are produced on about 13,600 acres in 19 of Wisconsin's 72 counties (1996 statistic).
So next time you pop a cranberry in your mouth, think of me and Wisconsin. And the next time you cross paths with an idiot - just call him/her a "cranberry".
What a neat sign, I will now think about cranberries in a new way...
