Allison Krause, Jeff Miller (seen lying on the pavement above),
Sandy Scheuer and
Bill Schroeder were murdered by National Guardsman.
Scheuer and Schroeder weren't
even taking part in the student demonstrations (against the Vietnam War). Nine others were injured and one remains paralyzed.
Above in order: Krause, Schroeder, Miller and Sheuer. 800 National Guardsman converged on campus that day. 67 bullets were fired in all. Every guardsman involved was acquitted. The event was immortalized in the Crosby, Stills and Nash song, "Ohio",
