Honestly, every get-together with my family is like this. It just so happens it's Christmas Eve and there's a scrumptious spread on the dining room table. And there's a Christmas tree. And presents & lights & snow. And my mother's wearing Santa's cap. Other than that - it's "business" as usual. So thankful. Candids & random shots.

Activist Nelson Mandela passed away this week and the liberal Wisconsin group One Wisconsin Now saw this event as a means to further exploit their non-voter ID stance in Wisconsin by proposing that Governor Scott Walker and lawmakers honor Mandela best by stopping “their collective attacks on the right to vote".

But wait - Mandela helped to impose similar voter ID laws in South Africa.
